Heritage Hanger

The Biggin Hill Heritage Hanger (BHHH) affords you the opportunity to fly in an iconic two-seat Spitfire and we can highly recommend booking a ‘hangar tour’  www.flyaspitfire.com Dedicated to bringing Spitfires back to life, the facility is always home to at least 15 Spitfires at a time!

Biggin Hill Memorial Museum

Museum is on the site of St George’s RAF Chapel of Remembrance, built in 1951 to preserve the legacy of those who served and died in Biggin Hill during World War II. The museum tells the story of the RAF base through the personal experiences of those who served there, and the community that supported them. The museum holds regular talks with tours throughout the year. The Nightingale Café on site.

Down House – English Heritage Property, Downe

Family home and garden of Charles Darwin since 1842. Darwin wrote On The Origin Of Species here. The property includes access to the house and garden and greenhouse with exhibitions, and a café.

Chartwell - National Trust property, Westerham

Family home and garden of Winston Churchill since 1922, filled with treasures, gifts and personal belongings, presented as the Churchills’ knew it. The property includes access to the house, Churchill’s painting studio, the Rose Garden, the Walled Garden, the Woodland, Landemare Café and a National Trust Gift Shop.

Westerham Brewery Tap Room and Shop

Established in 2004, producing local brewed, craft beers. Tap room and shop open to public to sample and purchase. This beer is available in our hotel bar. Check out their events page as they do hold jazz and comedy evenings.

Squerryes Winery and Vineyards

Squerryes estate is over 300 years old with 8 generations. The Vineyards were planted in 2006 and in 2020, the estate won Gold in the World Championships for Champagne and Sparkling wine, the fifth medal across five separate Squerryes Vintages. Tours of the vineyard and wine tasting is available. There is also an Estate Deli & Cellar Door shop with café and restaurant on site.

Chislehurst Caves

A labyrinth of man-made caves, forming a maze covering over 6 hectares and up to 30 metres below the homes and woodlands above. First opened in 1900 as a showplace, used as a munitions storage during WWI, mushroom growing in the 1920s and 1930s, underground town during WWII protecting over 15000 during the Blitz. The Churchill Theatre, Bromley

Since 1977, the Churchill Theatre have been a leading South-East England live entertainment venue. Offering top musicals, drama, comedy, dance, family shows, one-night events and, of course, the yearly pantomime. The theatre is used to showcase new productions prior to the West End or a National Tour.

Biggin Hill Swimming Pool and Library

A public 6 Lane, 25 metres swimming pool housed within the Library building in Biggin Hill’s village.

Mayfield Stables and Riding School, Tatsfield

Established in 1996, small family run Horse Riding School with a reputation of excellent teaching and fun, relaxed, friendly environment. They will organise a leisurely hack through the local countryside accompanied by at least one British Horse Society (BHS) qualified instructor. Loan of an approved riding hat and body protector included in their rates.
